Mangia! Monday: Taco Tuesday!



Today's Mangia! Monday is all about a favorite occasion at our house; Taco Tuesday!! We don't always have tacos per se, but we usually stick with Mexican inspired delights. One of our favorites is a Taco Ring! If you have ever been sucked into the world of Pampered Chef, you are familiar with their incredible array of braids and rings. Such great ideas, I've turned to time and again over the years, making my own little changes here and there. But ultimately they don't need much tweaking, braids and rings rock my socks! Here's our Taco Tuesday; Taco Ring, yum, yum and yum!


1 lb lean ground beef
Taco seasoning mix (Costco much, lol)
Shredded Cheese (Cheddar, Mexi Blend whatever)
2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent rolls
Taco Fixin's...
Salsa
Shredded  lettuce,
Chopped Tomato
Chopped Onion
Chopped/Sliced black olives
Sour Cream
Taco Sauce
Cheese
   
Preheat oven to 375°F
Cook your Taco Meat according to seasoning mix directions 
Unroll crescent dough; separate into triangles
Arrange triangles in a circle on Round Pizza Stone, wide ends overlapping in center and points toward outside


 




 

Sprinkle with cheese and Scoop meat mixture as evenly as possible onto widest end of each triangle
 






Pull points up over filling and tuck under wide ends of dough at center of ring, just tuck, tuck, tuck with your fingers. (Filling will not be completely covered)

 

 













Bake at 20-25 minutes or until golden brown





Shred lettuce and chop tomato, onion and olives. If you want to add some flair, scoop out a bell pepper, fill with salsa and put into center of ring. This works great for party service/presentation!













Cut into wedges & serve with all of your favorite taco toppings! (note: Really good on top of a small bed of rice)  Kid friendly, easy to throw together and a great weeknight meal.

Ohhhhh... yummmoooo!!!!! I am already drooling... I think I need to make a quick trip to the grocery store, we have the grandkids overnight and I think they would LOVE this!! And a lot faster than tacos!!! LOL!! Thanks so much!!
